For the Curious

Where Grace has been for three months.

Well, well, well. I ended up taking the summer off from this blog, and put that time to good use. But now, it’s time to buckle down again. I’ll begin with updates on what’s happened the past three months.

As of August, I have completed all coursework for my BA in English. I’m a graduate – finally! It’s such a weight off my shoulders. It’s been a long, winding, and challenging road, but I’ve finally reached my destination. I’ll be walking the stage in December, though, because my university doesn’t offer a summer graduation ceremony. Even if they did, it would be different from what’s traditional due to the current state of the country. Walking the stage doesn’t mean that much to me, but it does to my family, and they’re the ones who paid for this dang degree, so walk I will.

The other news is that we’re moving! It’ll be tough to move away from our families, but we’ve decided to move to a much larger apartment in a much smaller city – from 660 square feet in the DC area to over 830 square feet in Raleigh, NC. My best friend lives downtown with her husband, and we still have friends in the Chapel Hill and Greensboro areas. We’re excited to explore a new city, make new friends, and save money! I’ll post about our new place when we’re completely finished and unpacked.

Apologies for my absence, but I needed to finish school. I’m glad I took the break, because I needed it, but I missed this.
